Winter

Winter sports enthusiasts eagerly await the cold season in the Haut-Giffre. Winter brings with it a white cloak that covers the valley all the way down to the plains, changing the look of the landscape considerably.

The mountains seem to have softened, parabolic curves can be seen in the fields, the weight of the snow on the trees makes their silhouettes finer, the rays of the low sun cast shadows in the distance to align with the frost crystals. All those harmonious natural phenomena can be immortalised in photos while you’re out skiing or snowshoeing. The Haut-Giffre is a real treat when you take the time to relax a little.
