Through the act of 26 December 1511, the Reverend Pugin, curate of Samoëns, authorised Laurent Ros of Les Miaux to construct a chapel in his village in the name of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows, compassion, St. Michael and St. Claude. It was not constructed until 1529. It was renovated in 1995. A pretty piéta of unknown origin decorates the interior. In the past the chapel was visited by residents of the village who were numerous and industrious thanks to the bountifulness of Les Champs, Les Miaux and Le Pont due to the presence of channels (allowing land owners to share water resources). A château (now the Foyer Ste Bernadette) which was home to the Denarie (Deneriaz) noble family.
