The Praz de Lys chapel was founded in 1660 by M. Jay. It's a little jewel in the Praz de Lys paradise of snow and greenery.
It is dedicated to Saint Christophe and Saint Jacques de Compostelle, both protectors of travelers. The chapel features a painting of these two saints, carrying the infant Jesus, probably crossing the Foron, with the Chalune peak in the background... It is even said that the infant Jesus was painted after a child from Taninges. There's also an old kneading trough that serves as an altar, and a Stations of the Cross in the form of tiny paintings. During the summer, every evening at 6 p.m. since 2017, the chapel has been open to invite locals and tourists at the sound of the bell to come and pray and celebrate vespers.
